A service of Middle Tennessee Electric, the Franklin-based telecom provider has already invested more than $30 million in Rutherford County. This investment includes a recently completed fiber project connecting 18,000 homes and businesses in neighboring Smyrna and connecting the Rutherford County Emergency Communications District, which provides next-generation 911 technology. |

Jason Irvin, Smyrna Police Department Police Chief, is pleased to announce Jeff Dwyer and John Liehr as assistant police chiefs for Smyrna. They both assume their roles on July 22, 2023. The assistant police chief positions were created to serve as capacity support for the police chief as a result of growth. |

Murfreesboro siblings Benjamin and Rachel Beth Drake recently competed on season 15 of the popular television series American Ninja Warrior. The brother and sister duo took on the grueling obstacle course located on the backlot of Hollywood’s Universal Studios where the show was filmed. The pair were featured on episode 6 which was recently televised on July 17th on NBC. |

This year’s Stuff the Bus Collection Party will take place on Thursday, August 3rd from 11 AM – 2 PM, in MTSU’s parking lot, off Greenland Drive and Middle Tennessee Boulevard. |
