Murfreesboro Teens Compete on American Ninja Warrior

Murfreesboro siblings Benjamin and Rachel Beth Drake recently competed on season 15 of the popular television series American Ninja Warrior. The brother and sister duo took on the grueling obstacle course located on the backlot of Hollywood’s Universal Studios where the show was filmed. The pair were featured on episode 6 which was recently televised on July 17th on NBC.

In his rookie debut, Benjamin completed the course and finished with the second fastest run of the night. He will move on to the semifinals which begin airing in August. Rachel Beth tied for fifth place overall for women and narrowly missed advancing to the semifinal rounds.

Benjamin is 18 years old and just recently graduated high school (homeschooled). In addition to working three jobs, Benjamin is an avid runner and a self-taught musician who plays multiple musical instruments including guitar, ukulele, harmonica, and piano. He has his own lawn care business, coaches adults and children at Fortified Fitness (Murfreesboro ninja gym) and works part-time at Chik-fil-A.

Rachel Beth is 20 years old and works at Fortified Fitness as a ninja coach. She loves coaching and mentoring younger children.  She also has an online Etsy t-shirt business and designs her own shirts. Hiking, swimming, and working out are some of her favorite activities.
