WGNS’ Bryan Barrett and Jon Dinkins Receive Award for Local Sports Coverage



WGNS’ Bryan Barrett and Jon Dinkins received top honors at the annual Tennessee Association of Broadcaster’s 75th Anniversary Convention in the Country Music Hall of Fame. Barrett and Dinkins won the award for best local sports coverage in the state. 

Bryan and Jon have been working together doing sports for WGNS since 1997. Bryan started covering games in 1994 with Jeff Jordan and Jon joined them three years later. Bryan and Jon have been doing football together since 2002 and after Jeff's retirement in 2009, continued the tradition of broadcasting nearly 170 local high school football, basketball, baseball and softball games plus coaches shows per year.
