United Way of South Central Tennessee recently hosted the kick-off to their 70th year in our area at Middle Tennessee Electric in Murfreesboro. For decades, United Way of South Central Tennessee has been a driving force for positive change across our region. Founded in 1956 as the United Givers Fund, it began with a simple idea: when a community comes together, real impact follows. That first year, local leaders raised $36,000 (nearly half a million dollars today!) - launching a legacy of service that continues throughout Bedford, Cannon, Coffee, Lincoln, Moore, Rutherford and Warren counties.

Today serving seven counties, United Way mobilizes resources, builds partnerships and delivers solutions that create lasting change. From strengthening education and health to supporting financial stability, the mission remains clear: building thriving communities, together.
