Geneva Poss began her journey with The Journey Home in 2006 as a volunteer serving meals from the trunk of her car. As donations grew, she became a full-time staff member, spending two decades showing God’s love to everyone she met. Geneva has helped thousands overcome life’s challenges to achieve long-term sustainability. Her holistic care includes running the Community Café and Kitchen, helping clients secure housing, access medical care, and childcare and providing job skills training. Going above and beyond, Geneva frequently ensured clients had reliable transportation—helping get cars repaired, purchasing tires or securing donated vehicles so people could get to work. She also mobilized local churches, volunteers and donors to build a network of support. Geneva retires on August 28th.
