With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it is the perfect time to feature many of the local women who contribute to our community. This issue of VIP Murfreesboro is themed “All About Women” and celebrates many of the grandmothers, mothers, daughters, sisters and friends who we all know and love.
This month’s VIProfile is extra special, paying tribute to the wonderful tradition of Wine Around the Square. Being the 15th annual event, the Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation is recognizing past honorees from this beloved event. Our October VIProfile highlights the history behind WATS and the individuals who brought it to life.
Our VIP Home features the timeless residence of Lucinda and the late Jim Lea. Their forever home is filled with meaningful furnishings and mementos collected throughout their life together. Every detail reflects the love and memories that make this home so special.
This issue also brings you our Leading Ladies Profiles. Through their careers, volunteer work, kindness and the simple ways they encourage and support others, these women each make a meaningful impact on our community, and we’re honored to share their stories!
As always, we’ve got highlights from some amazing events around town, including Live in the Boro featuring American Idol finalist Jordan McCullough, MYP’s Dinks & Drinks and Oktoberfest at Oaklands Mansion, just to name a few. Be on the lookout for friends and familiar faces.
Thank you for reading this issue of VIP Murfreesboro. We hope you enjoy these pages and the people, stories and community that make Murfreesboro such a great place to call home.
