He has seen much change during his lifetime, and he lived through some landmark events in the history of the world, the history of Tennessee and the development of the City of Murfreesboro. |

While the outside of his home looks modest – it has been given a bit of an update with the shutters removed and the brick painted a putty gray – the inside has been totally transformed. |

“Smyrna Airport is an amazing place to be,” said Evan Lester, the new executive director of the facility, succeeding John Black who recently retired after serving the airport for 33 years. A protégé of Black’s, Lester interned at the Smyrna Airport when he was working on his Master’s Degree in Aerospace at Middle Tennessee State University in 2018. |
