Local Turning Point Chapters Remember Charlie Kirk at Candlelight and Prayer Vigil

On September 15th, at the outdoor venue of The Fountains, Murfreesboro’s local Turning Point USA chapters hosted a candlelight prayer vigil honoring their founder, Charlie Kirk. Charlie Kirk founded TPUSA in 2012 as an American nonprofit organization that advocates for conservative politics on high school and college campuses. It aims to educate and mobilize students around issues like free markets and limited government. Charlie was murdered on Utah Valley University campus while engaging students in civil discourse debate. The night of prayer and worship was attended by thousands. The TPUSA regional representative Bailee Paxson spoke, as well as the presidents of the local chapters: Mason McConnell, Izzy Faulkner and Paxton Holder. Aaron Keller and Conner Bell led the worship music to end the evening. Each speaker spoke on Charlie’s legacy, his passion for young students and most importantly his faith in God. The TPUSA chapters would like to thank the Rutherford County GOP for their help and support in accommodating such a large crowd. Thank you to the Murfreesboro Police Department for providing a safe and orderly atmosphere. And finally, thank you to all who came out to remember Charlie Kirk.
