Martha-Marie Pippen is a Murfreesboro native and the owner of Pure Glow Skin Care day spa. Pippen’s passion for skin care goes back to her childhood. “I used to save my allowance and buy Teen Magazine,” she said. “Whatever they said to do for skin, I did it!” Once she discovered that she could have a career in the aesthetics industry, she “jumped straight in” and eventually opened her business. As a business owner, Pippen enjoys the strategic process of developing a team. “I started off by myself with one treatment room. We have now grown to a staff of six including three aestheticians, a massage therapist, a spa coordinator and office manager,” she said. Her favorite aspect of the job, however, is the rapport she builds with her clients. “They’re more than my clients; they have become friends, and we do life together,” she said.

Pure Glow is a holistic medical spa that offers a variety of non-invasive facial treatments, as well as Body Sculpting, and customized massages. They are open Mon-Thurs 9 am-7 pm, Fri 9 am-5 pm, and Sat 9 am-3 pm. Find them at Uptown Square in Murfreesboro.
