Scott Foster, Geneva Poss, Lis Couser and the entire team at The Journey Home welcomed donors to preview their impressive new building on Old Salem Road. The next day featured a community-wide Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for the new Community Resource Center. Trenton Perry served as Master of Ceremonies, followed by an invocation, remarks from Board Chair Leslee Dodd Karl, Mayor Shane McFarland, Christy-Houston President Anne Davis, Executive Director Scott Foster and a blessing offered by Drew Shelley. Lunch and tours of the building followed.

The project was a collective effort, successfully raising enough funds so that the building carries almost no debt. In 2024, over 2,600 people in 1,400 households were served. With this outstanding new facility, and thanks to the commitment of both staff and volunteers, endless possibilities await.
