Congratulations to Homer Pittard Campus School PE teacher Erin Powers, who has been named the 2026 Elementary Teacher of the Year by the Tennessee Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance!

This recognition from TAHPERD isn’t just about outstanding instruction — recipients of the Teacher of the Year award must be certified professionals who demonstrate strong leadership, professional growth, and a deep commitment to their discipline.
