Welcome to May! Officially the busiest month of the year, especially for parents with school-age children. With that in mind, we hope that you’re able to sit, relax and enjoy turning the pages of this month’s VIP Murfreesboro.

In this issue, we are packed with some of our community’s favorite events. From golf tournaments in full swing to elegant galas, we know that you are going to recognize many familiar faces and love reading about our local charitable events.

Pay close attention to our Live & Shop Local section. You will find businesses that are new to Murfreesboro as well as ones that have long been the backbone of our community. Through these inspirational stories, we hope that the one thing that resonates with you is the importance of shopping local.

And lastly, please enjoy a trip to Eagleville as we take you inside the home of Cyndi and Robert Cheizoo. Their quaint home is full of unique mementos and a sense of “gezellig.” If you’re unfamiliar with this term, like I was, you’ll have to explore their lovely cottage to find out the meaning.

As always, thank you for your continued support and readership. It’s truly an honor sharing the incredible work being accomplished in our wonderful town.
