MURFREESBORO PARKS AND REC BREAKS GROUND AT VETERANS PARK



Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation had the official Groundbreaking event at the much-anticipated Veterans Park on Friday, March 28. Mayor Shane McFarland, City of Murfreesboro City Council and the Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Commission members will be on-site to celebrate the groundbreaking of this incredible new park.

“This project is one that we’ve had in the works for quite some time,” shared Nate Williams, Executive Director of Recreation Services. “We are really excited about this beautiful space that the community were able to enjoy for years to come.” Veterans Park is located off Interstate 840 and Veterans Parkway and is 150- acres of green space that will include walking trails, a destination playground, four large pavilions, pickleball courts and a large outdoor event space for concerts and festivals.
