Over 600 attendees gathered in the MTSU Student Union Ballroom for The Journey Home 26 Luncheon. Master of Ceremonies Trenton Perry began the event with a welcome address, followed by an opening prayer and the introduction of Scott Foster, Executive Director. Foster expressed gratitude to board members and volunteers, especially Lis Couser and acknowledged sponsors. He announced that, upon fulfillment of all pledges by year-end, the organization’s new facility would be debt-free. Gloria Bonner delivered remarks, followed by Jesse Lomerson via video, who credited The Journey Home for inspiring self-belief. The luncheon concluded with Board Chair Leslee Dodd Karl encouraging contributions.
The Journey Home is a Christian ministry dedicated to serving the homeless and disadvantaged populations of Rutherford County. The organization provides practical resources and fosters relationships aimed at promoting faith, housing and economic stability, personal wholeness and reintegration into community life.
