Ugly Ducking Ball & Charity Auction

Story and photography by Joyce Taylor

Stones River Country Club has never been more beautifully decorated than on the evening of May 5 for the 51st Annual Ugly Duckling Ball and Charity Auction. Shannon Parsons capably chaired this event, and her entire crew of ladies worked tirelessly on this fabulous party.

Guests were greeted with champagne and appetizers, then enjoyed a wonderful dinner served with wines. The silent auction offered a variety of items with some very competitive bidding. The array of gowns was stunning as guests danced the night away. 100% of the funds raised at every Charity Circle party is given to local charities. Last year these ladies donated $400,000 to these great causes, making a huge impact in our community.
