Shakesbeer

Story and photography by Joyce Taylor

With a Star Wars theme, this annual Shakesbeer, presented by the Discovery Center on May 4, began their invitation with, “May the 4th Be With You.” The event took place in a galaxy not so far away –at the Discovery Center’s Murfree Spring natural area. There were theatrical performances by Murfreesboro Little Theatre, M-PROV, and Inebriated Shakespeare.

Star Wars characters mingled with the crowd on this perfect May evening. Many enjoyed dinner purchased from the food trucks, while sampling a variety of craft beers. Discovery Center continues to host events loved by the public.
