Neighbors and friends from throughout our community recently joined together for this beloved Murfreesboro tradition, full of family fun and holiday cheer on the Historic Downtown Courthouse square. The Center for the Arts kicked off the evening performing “A Christmas Song” and “Never Fall in love with an elf” from the performance “Elf the musical”. Later, The City and County Schools Holiday Choir featuring 4-6th graders from Campus School, Black Fox, Rockvale and Siegel Elementary Schools performed, followed by MTSU’s Dance Theatre performing ballets from The Nutcracker’s “Whimsical Candy Cane Swirls”, “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” and “Ave Maria”. Finally, Santa and Mrs. Claus greeted the crowd, read a story and lead the children in the searching for the magic of Christmas to turn on the lights of our tree!
