Summer Supper

Story and Photography by Joyce Taylor

The Charity Circle ladies who hosted the annual Summer Supper could not have picked a more perfect evening for this annual party. Guests met friends old and new, enjoyed cocktails and a wonderful Southern supper. The menu never changes, and why would it? Guests rave every year about the fried chicken, corn and green bean casseroles, sliced tomatoes and home-made rolls. Dee Dee and Greg Tidwell hosted this beautiful party in their back yard, which was cool and shady, not our usual sweltering August temperatures.

All donations made at this party, as with all the “Caroling Parties,” go directly to local charities. Charity Circle hostesses pay for the entire cost of each of these parties, allowing more money to benefit our community. Watch for the next Charity Circle party on September 8.
