Despite the chilly weather, MTSU fans traveled toUncle Nearest in Shelbyville for an evening of music by Grammy-winning artists who have written songs for Morgan Wallen, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Little Big Town and others. Many of the artists are MTSU graduates. The crowd enjoyed drinks and appetizers, as well as singing along with old hits and hearing future ones from up-and-coming artists. Coach Derek Mason, always personable, wanted to give the community an elevated experience at one of the premiere local venues while promoting his program and student athletes. Proceeds support the MTSU football student-athletes through the NIL Collective (Raiders Rising). Hopefully, this will be an annual event, giving you another opportunity to sing along to your favorite songs and enjoy a wonderful evening. Visit www.goblueraiders.com for the football schedule. The first football game is August 30 vs. Austin Peay.
