Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Delivering a Legacy of Care

At Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford, families have long begun their stories in our care. As our community grows, so does our commitment to providing an exceptional birth experience. We are improving the hospital spaces devoted to Women’s and Obstetric Services, creating a modern, welcoming, state-of-the-art environment that elevates every step of the birthing journey and reflects our commitment to exceptional, family-centered care.

In August 2024, we celebrated the completion of the Lee and Susan Moss NICU expansion. Final updates were made possible through generous community support of the Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation, including a $370,158 investment. These funds helped renovate the Sleep-In Rooms, transform the Labor and Delivery entrance, and refresh the Dr. Jim and Sydney Boerner Waiting Room, completed in January 2026.

We invite you to partner with us to ensure every first embrace and every first breath takes place in a setting designed for safety, comfort, and excellence, creating a lasting legacy of care for generations to come.
