The Historic District of Murfreesboro was filled with runners and walkers Thanksgiving morning for the 16th Annual Borodash. The 4-mile run is a family-friendly race that has become a tradition through the years for families near and far.

The Borodash was founded by Staci McCreary in 2010. It was the first ever Thanksgiving Day race in Murfreesboro. John Magnuson, Borodash Board Chairman, said, "God gave us a beautiful day! We had a record turnout which will be a huge blessing for our charities. Thank you, Murfreesboro, for making the Borodash a Thanksgiving tradition.”
In the years since the inaugural race, over $800,000 has been raised for charities around the world and here at home. The primary beneficiaries are Neema House, in Geita, Tanzania, and Murfreesboro’s Greenhouse Ministries. This year’s spotlight beneficiaries were Mindful Care, Renewed Life Ministries Outreach, Hope Station, Barnabas Vision, Liberty’s Station and Amelia’s Closet.
