The Big Run

Story and photography by Eric Lusk

Thousands of runners from across the country recently participated in Fleet Feet’s “The Big Run.” The nationwide event took place on Global Running Day and was sponsored in part by Brooks and Nuun. Fleet Fleet Murfreesboro, in conjunctions with Murfreesboro Parks, hosted the 5K competition locally, which took place around the Gateway Island behind MMC. It was a warm, muggy evening, but that didn’t stop the die-hard runners and the nearly-dying non-runners.

Fleet Feet Murfreesboro is locally owned and operated by Krista Dugosh and her wonderful staff. They are dedicated to providing superior fit, function, and style for Middle Tennessee runners and fitness enthusiasts of all levels. For more information, please visit www.fleetfeetmurfreesboro.com.
