Stake & Burger

Story and photography by Joyce Taylor

Featured speaker for the 31st annual Boys and Girls Clubs Stake & Burger was Terry Bradshaw. The Student Union Building at MTSU was at capacity for this four-time Super Bowl champion quarterback (Pittsburgh Steelers), two-time Super Bowl MVP, Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, and multi-Emmy and award winning broadcaster on Fox NFL Sunday. He is a popular actor, gospel/country singer, motivational speaker, New Your Times best-selling author and breeder of championship quarter horses. Bradshaw captivated the crowd with his humor, charm and friendliness.

With great burgers and all the trimmings provided by Toots, a large silent auction, numerous sponsors, a great venue and a fabulous speaker, the Boys and Girls Club found the perfect formula. In 2017 the club served 2,535 youth. Funds raised from this event will enable them to serve even more.
