Story and photography by Eric Lusk

Junior League of Murfreesboro recently hosted an inspiring, self-love and social awareness event for eighth thru tenth grade girls. Chock-full of uplifting speakers, like Allyson Crowell, Brittney Eskew and Johannah Makin, you could almost feel the confidence and assertiveness of these young ladies grow while attending the session at the Fountains of Gateway in Murfreesboro.

The Junior League of Murfreesboro is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. JLM is a diverse group of women building a better community through a commitment to advocacy, leadership, multiculturalism and a commitment to children.
