Story and photography by Eric Lusk

Sarah Callender and her Main Street staff and board recently held An Evening on Main, an investor celebration fundraising event. Paul and Jessica Seegert opened up their beautiful home on Main Street in Murfreesboro, across from Central Magnet.

For the past 35 years, Main Street’s mission has been to maintain, enhance and promote the downtown as the heart of our community. Much about downtown would be different, less charming, less picturesque and less vibrant without the efforts by Main Street Murfreesboro. They are a nonprofit organization, relying on public and private donations for operations and projects. They receive no funding from state or federal programs. Without the generosity of our community and the zeal of their volunteers, Main Street would disappear.
