September, when the leaves start to change and eventually fall, representing the cycle of life and renewal. The old leaves were beautiful in their time – from the pale greens when the buds first appeared through the grand finale of fiery reds, oranges and yellows – but there comes a point when the branches need to let go, to move on from this magnificent past in order to embrace the future. Nature has a way to remind us all of the importance of perseverance and the beauty that results. We’ve certainly been enduring a time of necessary perseverance, as 2020 has dealt us a bad hand. Now is our time to let it go and look forward to a better future.

This issue of VIP Murfreesboro is continuing our trend of SPREADING THE GOOD NEWS, this time in the form of a full feature of Fall Fashion trends, modeled by our local heroes from our law enforcement and healthcare. For those who can’t wait for fall football, you will love our profile on a local high school athlete as he transitions to his collegiate career and the complete listings of local high school schedules.

Although events are still quite different and somewhat sparse, we are working hard to be there and highlight as many as we can in the best way possible. You will find celebrations of successful years of service, a cornhole tournament and even a car show supporting local children within the coverage here. Murfreesboro won’t let a pandemic get in the way of supporting its community!

May this fall be a time to realize what great adversities you’ve endured and how much stronger and wiser you are as a result. I hope this new season brings you loads of love, happiness and blessings. We at VIP Murfreesboro appreciate each of you and treasure your support.

Carrie Beth Catron
