Lucky. Having good things happen to you by chance; bringing good fortune. The month of March often brings this topic to the forefront. However, the reality of luck may be in the eyes of the beholder. Researchers have attempted to decode whether there’s an actual measurable aspect to what we understand as luck. Many of these studies have found that what a person might perceive as “luck” has more to do with psychology than probability; “luck” is actually just his/her own positive attitude that keeps him/her open to new opportunities or perceiving patterns in random acts of chance. Whether you believe in the spirit of luck or feel strongly it is positive perception that creates the idea, both look on the brighter side, and I think there’s never a bad time for that!

Speaking of luck, Murfreesboro sure is lucky to have a community full of people who give back, day after day. We at VIP Murfreesboro love nothing more than highlighting the numerous activities you devote time and energy to each month. Look inside to see you and your neighbors help out through assisting young people, playing trivia and even tasting bourbon as a way to raise funds for the countless charitable organizations making a daily difference.

This issue may have you thinking about making a change for the better, as we will introduce you to a special group of folks in Murfreesboro who work hard every day to make their client’s dreams come true. In our Real Estate VIP section, read about more than 30 realtors in town who are giving it their all to make everyone in Murfreesboro and Smyrna feel “at home.” Buying and selling a home is a very personal process, so this resource is a must to make sure you make the right decision as to who guides you in the process!

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be your local resource of all things Murfreesboro. Keep sending us comments, suggestions, and event info. You are the heartbeat of this publication.

We are LUCKY to have you!
