Editor's Letter

It’s that time of the year when we look back and reflect on the events of the past 12 months, before attempting to make some predictions about the trends and themes that might emerge next year. What a year we have to reflect! This may be the most anticipated new year you can remember. We are all ready for a clean slate and an opportunity to begin again. The beginning of the calendar year is at its heart a fantasy of newness and clean slates—of the chance to do things differently and with more attention to purpose.

This year may be the best one to count your blessings and incorporate the act of “slowing down” that so many of us learned to appreciate over the past 12 months. I know we at VIP Murfreesboro are counting each of you as a blessing from this past year!

This issue has lots of things to celebrate, from money raised to help our local Habitat for Humanity to better lives of people in our community, to the naming of our local Veteran of the Year. Even in the midst of the crazy, Murfreesboro continues to find ways to make the place we live the best it can be. Check out all those ways from the past month in this issue’s event coverage.

We want to help you as you begin your new year, so we have included a few great resources you’ll want to keep. The 2020 Healthcare Provider Profiles give you an inside view of many of our local healthcare providers, as we introduce you to each with more than just what they do, but why they do it!

You will also find the New Year, New You guide, filled with informational articles about ways to make your new year its best. There are lots of new offerings out there, so be sure to check it out.

I hope you have enjoyed the past year of VIP Murfreesboro Magazine. We have worked hard to bring you good news and great joy in a time when it was harder than usual to find. We are here to share your good news, so please reach out and let us know what you’ve got! Thank you for keeping us in the know.
