Davenport Station Grand Opening

Story and photography by Eric Lusk

The growth of Rutherford County over the past 20+ years has been quite remarkable. You’ve most likely heard the statistics of the number of people moving to our community every day. As city and county representatives hustle to keep our developments, roads and services up to pace with the influx of people, so too are area builders and real estate professionals.

One of the areas seeing extensive growth right now is south of town, headed towards Shelbyville. With a massive new WalMart, MMC satellite offices under construction and top performing school zoning, this sector is a hotbed of cultivation. Century Communities’ Davenport Station is a development in the heart of this booming area. Residents in this community will enjoy an abundance of recreational opportunities right outside their backdoor including a community pool and amenity center along with access to planned walking trails along Stones River. With local shopping, dining and entertainment, there’s plenty of excitement nearby!
