Craters & Freighters Ribbon Cutting Celebration

Story and photography by Eric Lusk

Years ago, when Russ and Jennifer Connelly started their business in a small garage with Russ’s uncle, they knew they could be successful… but never really imagined it would grow to the size it has today. Craters & Freighters Nashville recently celebrated the opening of their new 30,000 square foot facility in LaVergne. This building allows the company to handle just about anything when it comes to shipping your specialty freight.

In addition to working with specialty freight, Craters & Freighters meets the needs of businesses and consumers with a multitude of services, including pick-up, crating, shipping, packaging, tracking, insuring and delivery of shipments that are too heavy, oversized, valuable, awkward or time-sensitive for other shipping agencies. The company serves consumers and businesses in all sectors including telecommunications, electronics, medical equipment, aerospace, biotechnology and heavy machinery. With expertise that delivers, the company dominates the specialty freight industry.
