Celebration & Reception

Story and photography by Joyce Taylor

The continuous rain didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the guests who attended the celebration of The Community Foundation of Rutherford County, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

It was cozy inside the tent at the beautiful Georgetown home of Gina and John Floyd where guests enjoyed the company and refreshments. Steve Flatt explained the concept of the Foundation and urged guests to join in this charitable endeavor. Scott O’Neal, regional and affiliate initiatives liaison, spoke about the generosity of donors in Rutherford County. Their mission is to assist Rutherford County nonprofit organizations that help build and benefit the community. It is like a savings account for the community.
