An Evening with the President

Story and photography by Joyce Taylor

Liz McPhee, first lady of MTSU, is constantly coming up with innovative ideas for parties to raise money for her favorite causes. On the first Saturday night of November, she decided to host a “men only” party at the President’s residence. Known for her culinary skills, Liz prepared the fabulous meal and did not disappoint. The men mixed and mingled, perused the variety of items in the silent auction and enjoyed what had to be the best meal anyone had experienced for a while. New friendships were made, golf trips were planned and the group seemed to hate to leave. It was obvious everyone there is hoping that Liz will decide to have the event again next year.
