This film screening includes a post-screening discussion with Cheng Qiaoqiao, the filmmaker. Homecoming follows Fengyun, a young Dong woman, as she finishes work in a city factory to go back to her village for the New Year's family gathering. Her village is famous for the "Grand Song," but the ethnic group's traditions and customs have been challenged and transformed by China's economic development.
