Webb Welcomes Thomas as Director of Parent Giving and Donor Relations

Michelle Thomas, a development professional, has joined The Webb School as director of parent giving and donor relations. Thomas, a Murfreesboro resident, graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication with minors in English and physical education. Most recently working at The Alzheimer’s Association - Tennessee Chapter, Thomas was Senior Manager of Development during the past six years.

“I am excited to have Michelle join the Webb community -- she is going to be a great addition to our team working with parents here in the Alumni and Development Office,” said Matt Wilson, Office of Alumni and Development director. “Her main responsibilities include managing our parent giving program, executing the annual Belles and Buckles gala, and handling donor relations with our endowed funds.

During her time at the Alzheimer’s Association, Thomas was responsible for coordinating the Rutherford County Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and is one of the founders of The Gatsby Party - a fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association. Thomas has also served on a number of boards in the Rutherford County Community. In addition, Thomas has two daughters, Jorie 11 years old and Keyondra 13 years old.

Thomas said, “I’m excited to be part of the Webb family and look forward to learning more about the traditions and culture of the school. The Webb School mission is one of the main reasons I chose to make the transition in the education sector. I am looking forward to getting to know the students, their families, and helping continue the Webb legacy.”
