Shawn Rueff is passionate about her career as an independent residential, farm and commercial insurance agent and broker. Licensed in home, auto, life and health insurance, Shawn enjoys educating and providing her clients with options. She is always eager to connect and build new relationships and strategic partnerships.

“When helping my clients, I am often surprised about how little their previous insurance advisor has educated them about the importance of certain coverages and ‘holes’ in their present coverages,” she said.

“Therefore, I find consulting and clearly communicating those differences to my clients to be very satisfying.” Born and raised on a farm in Middle Tennessee, Shawn credits her success to her strong work ethic, positive attitude, diverse business background, and to both her personal and professional support system, including her home office located in Shelbyville.

Married to husband Matt for 23 years, the couple has two teenage children, Morgan and Addison.

Shawn is also a twin, and admits that comes with both many blessings and challenges. She’s often mistaken for her twin, Dawn Hobbs of Shelbyville.

Through one of their 11 insurance companies, Shawn also manages a guaranteed life insurance program, exclusive to Chamber members and their staff. Thanks to this unique program, she enjoys contributing to and providing peace of mind to smaller business owners who are unable to offer life insurance benefits and to those who would otherwise be ineligible for life insurance, due to pre-existing conditions.

As an administrator for 22 years in the air and ground medical transport industry, Shawn gained a great base of knowledge with concentrations in clinical (first responder), aviation and government relations.

Shawn is an MBA graduate of Bethel University and a 2002 graduate of Leadership Bedford. On her downtime, Shawn enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and exercising. She attends World Outreach Church and serves the local community as a Rutherford County Chamber diplomat. She is a committee member for the Alzheimer’s Walk.
