MMC Welcomes Dr. Brian Gray and Dr. Eric Young



Murfreesboro Medical Clinic (MMC) is pleased to announce the addition of Brian Gray, D.O. to its Internal and Family Medicine Department. Dr. Brian Gray is a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician who is happy to be back serving the community in which he grew up. Dr. Gray graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and then obtained his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After medical school, he completed his Family Medicine residency at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

During his residency, Dr. Gray was involved with the heart failure task force, focusing on developing a home-based program for patient care. He presented his research and findings at the society for Family Medicine teachers in Washington D.C.

Dr. Gray lives in Murfreesboro with his wife. He spends his spare time biking, golfing, and playing tennis. Dr. Gray also enjoys traveling with his wife, gardening, pour over coffee, University of Tennessee football and Nashville Predators hockey.

Dr. Gray believes that healthcare is an ever-evolving field with new opportunities for growth. His goal is to help patients better manage their health while also caring for the patient’s overall wellbeing.

Chief Executive Officer, Joey Peay, shares, “Dr. Gray is a great addition to MMC’s Internal and Family Medicine Department. As a Murfreesboro native, he has seen and experienced the growth in the community. Now he will be able to help address the medical needs of his hometown!”

They also welcome Dr. Eric Young as he joins Dr. Brenna Green in the Spine, Joint and Pain Department at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic (MMC), serving both the Murfreesboro and Manchester locations. Dr. Young is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, and he also obtained his Subspecialty Certification in Pain Medicine.

Dr. Young received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, before receiving his Medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He performed his Internship at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. After his internship, Dr. Young returned to Wayne State University to complete his Anesthesiology Residency and Pain Management

Fellowship at Detroit Medical Center. He most recently worked at Comprehensive Pain Specialists seeing patients in Murfreesboro and Tullahoma. Chief Executive Officer, Joey Peay, notes, “MMC is proud to have Dr. Young join our practice. His experience, coupled with that of Dr. Green, allows MMC to address the needs of patients as they strive to cope with chronic pain conditions.”
