It was a perfect spring evening for more than 200 guests at The Grove at Williamson Square, as Batey Farms hosted the first Light Up Local Firefly Awards. Locally owned businesses, their dedication to the community, their social media prowess, parties, families, business successes, and accomplishments throughout the past year were celebrated.

Many businesses were nominated in several categories, but none more than Shawn and Christy Hackinson with The Alley on Main. The Hackinson’s were recognized not only for their food and business accomplishments, but also for their continued dedication to their community and their philanthropy.
