Leaving A Lasting Legacy

Jason and Julie King reside in Murfreesboro with their sons, Collin (3) and Rowan (18 months). Jason and Julie try to take seriously the imperative to love your neighbor. They believe that doing so involves caring for the marginalized, especially locally, in order to create a stronger, more vibrant and more just community, ultimately benefitting everyone.

In October of 2016, Jason and Julie King joined the United Way Legacy Society as founding members. A legacy gift to the local United Way is a way of honoring the values the Kings hold dear in their lives. Making this commitment now reminds them to set goals for the community both in the present and for the future.

Jason and Julie stated, “Among public charitable organizations, we believe United Way is the best model for solving persistent challenges to the needs our community faces in the areas of health, education, and financial stability.

We want to be part of the solution, and we want our children to learn that service to others is a necessary part of living the good life. Our local United Way knows how, and is dedicated to, using these contributions to their greatest potential.”

United Way’s Legacy Society is comprised of a group of committed investors who are supporting the long-term success of Rutherford and Cannon Counties through an outright gift, will or estate plan to United Way’s endowment. To learn more, visit www.yourlocaluw.org/plannedgiving.
