Andy Stephen

Andy Stephen’s role in the community is to protect assets and secure future income for his clients — always with their best interest in mind. He believes in listening to his clients’ needs and finding a solution that works for each person.

“I have a passion for helping others and being an insurance professional allows me to deliver the promise I gave my clients in their time of need,” said Andy, a graduate of Tennessee Tech University with a degree in business administration.

“My goal is simply to care of my clients as if they are my own family, and after years of relationships, they do feel like family. I think our customers know and feel how much we care about them, and at the end of the day that is what it is all about.” Andy was born and raised in middle Tennessee, and currently serves as manager and producing agent of the Farm Bureau agency on 818 S. Church St, a role in which he has served since 2009. He’s in his 18th year of being a Farm Bureau agent in the state of Tennessee.

“My agency is fortunate to service the insurance needs of over 10,000 families, which happens to be one of the largest agencies in the state for Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee,” said Andy, who is married to his high school sweetheart, Julie. “I love the daily interaction with the public. I invest in strengthening relationships so I can better serve our policy holders. It is a privilege to assist our community with their insurance needs. Every customer and every opportunity is treated the same and we are thankful for each and every chance we get to earn an individual’s business.”

Andy and Julie have been married for 17 years and have two children, Drew and Anna Claire. They attend North Boulevard Church of Christ. Other than spending time with family, Andy enjoys exercising, golfing and grilling out. In addition to being passionate about his family and serving the community, Andy truly loves what he does. In fact, he says their success comes from his agency’s attempt to always do the right thing for clients.

“Our customers can feel it and the loyalty and retention to our agency reflects it,” he said. “We are a Tennessee-based company with Tennessee insurance agents and a staff that serves Tennesseans, so when you do business with Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee, you are supporting local business.”

Over the course of his career, Andy has seen countless times how home, auto, or life insurance has helped when the unexpected life event has devastated a family. His advice is to review your insurance often.

“Life happens and things change quickly, so make sure your insurance needs are adapting to those changes,” he said. “Sit down with a professional and take the time to make the necessary changes that will protect your family.”

He is open to accepting new clients and, as the community grows, his goal is to reach as many local folks as possible with his expertise. “If I am currently not your insurance agent, I would love the opportunity to earn your business,” he said. “I am committed to this community and to Rutherford County.”

Andy serves on the advisory board for Farm Credit Services, Middle Tennessee Christian Booster Club Board, and is an avid supporter of the local chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
