Adam Tipton

Adam Tipton’s faith, family and friends are what matter most to him in life. He loves his career as well, especially having the opportunity to meet new people every day as he helps protect his clients’ assets and the most important things in their lives.

Adam, who graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a degree in agribusiness management, has been an agent with Farm Bureau Insurance since 2007.

Married to wife Katie Tipton since 2007, the couple has a two-year-old daughter, Aubrey Kate. Their maltipoo “Maggie” is also a part of the family.

“We love to travel,” he said. “We are avid UT football fans. I enjoy working out at our Crossfit gym, kayaking and fishing. We are also very involved with our church small groups at New Vision Baptist.”

Adam recalls the tornado in 2009 as a great reminder of why he loves what he does.

“I will never forget how appreciative our clients were when we were able to help them rebuild their homes and repair their vehicles after the Good Friday tornado in 2009,” he said. “I was there for our clients when tragedy struck our city and I will continue to help our clients when an unforeseen tragedy occurs in the future.”

Customer service is something that Adam believes is extremely important and he enjoys sitting down with folks and providing them with a free review of their insurance products, even if they are not currently insured with Farm Bureau.

“I find that many people have purchased an insurance policy quickly online and they have never really gotten advice from a true insurance professional,” he said. “In many cases, they do not have the appropriate coverage they need if an unforeseen tragedy occurs.”

Even though Adam primarily insures single family homes and personal vehicles, he also has a passion for the agribusiness industry. While in college he was honored to serve for a year as the Tennessee FFA Association state president.

Professionally, Adam has excelled over the years, winning numerous awards with Farm Bureau including Winners Circle, Soaring Eagle Award, Honor Council and Top 25 Agent. In 2017, Adam was named agency manager of the newly opened Farm Bureau office at 3028 South Rutherford Blvd.

Adam also serves on the local board for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and is also the vice president of the Tennessee Tech University Agriculture Foundation board.
