Tennessee’s largest and most comprehensive orthopedic provider, Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA), announces the addition of Dr. Timothy Summers to its practices in McMinnville and Murfreesboro.
Dr. Summers is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions, with a focus on treatment of conditions affecting the elbow, forearm, wrist, hand and fingers.
A McMinnville native, Dr. Summers worked as a jet engine mechanic in Columbus, Georgia, for approximately four years before beginning his undergraduate education. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Columbus State University, graduating summa cum laude. He then attended the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Summers completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, followed by a one-year fellowship in hand and upper-extremity surgery at Campbell Clinic in Memphis. He is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
