Groovin' In The Boro

Story and Photography by Joyce Taylor

On a beautiful September evening, Lisbeth Couser, Director of Development and Marketing for The Journey Home, and her capable staff and committee, welcomed supporters to Copper Ridge. Guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers while perusing auction items. Following dinner, Master of Ceremonies Trenton Perry welcomed the crowd; Executive Director Scott Foster encouraged continued donations and Board Chair Leslee Dodd Karl invited all to tour the new facility. Jalin Kindell told of her emotional experiences when she received vital assistance from Journey Home. Collin Raye, three-time nominee for CMA Male vocalist of the year, delighted the crowd with his many hit songs, relating stories about each song.

The Journey Home is a nonprofit Christian ministry dedicated to serving the homeless and disadvantaged. They provide resources and relationships that encourage faith, economic stability, wholeness and reintegration into community life.
