Welcome to our April issue! This month’s edition of VIP Murfreesboro is always a reader favorite, and this year is no exception.

Our VIProfile this month spotlights Daphne David, the newly appointed CEO of Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital. With a deep commitment to serving others and a proven track record of strong leadership, Daphne brings both vision and integrity to her role. She has already begun making a meaningful impact within our community, and we are confident her influence will continue to grow.

We’re also pleased to showcase this month’s VIP Home highlighting the architectural work of the late Larry Schumaker. Known for his distinct design approach, his influence can be seen throughout the community, reflecting a thoughtful blend of style, function and timeless appeal. This special feature serves as a tribute to his legacy and the mark he leaves on local architecture.

This issue shines a spotlight on some of the outstanding young leaders making a meaningful impact in our community. The annual “40 Under 40” feature recognizes individuals whose passion and dedication are helping shape the future of Murfreesboro, and their stories are sure to inspire as you get to know each of them.

Alongside these inspiring professionals, we’re shining a spotlight on all thing’s kids. In our Kids & Education section, you’ll discover helpful resources covering everything from private school options to summer camps and programs for kids.

Throughout this issue, you’ll find highlights from some of our community’s favorite events, including the Rutherford Society Gala, the Special Kids Race and the Community Foundation Rodeo—moments that truly bring people together and showcase the spirit of our town.

Be sure to look at our calendars as you plan your activities for the coming months!
