Boots and Brews

Story and photography by Joyce Taylor

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for Boots and Brews, benefiting the Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Center. Guests enjoyed sampling local craft beers and spirits, and swinging and mingling to live music at Copper Ridge Event Venue. Wings and BBQ with trimmings were served, along with tasty dessert and root beer floats. Some lucky folks had the high on their favorite silent auction item.

Proceeds from the party help give “the boot” to domestic and sexual violence in our community. For more information or to donate to this great cause, visit www.dvpshelter.org.
