With the theme of “A Griswold Family Christmas,” staff members of the Boys & Girls Club asked guests to get ready for “the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny Kaye.” After cocktails and perusal of auction, guests enjoyed a fabulous dinner. A salad of baby kale with pears, walnuts, cranberries and goat cheese served with apple cider vinaigrette was followed by a filet and scallops with baked asparagus and wild mushroom risotto. At the “Up Too Late” party, cookies and cupcakes were served with coffee and hot apple cider. The tent outside was cozy, but guests warmed up quickly as they danced the night away to the Rubiks Groove band.
All proceeds go toward the mission: to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. The Boys & Girls Club provides a safe place to learn and grown, ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals, life-enhancing programs and character development experiences, hope and opportunity.
