4-H 4K Run/Walk

Lane Agri-Park - 315 John Rice Boulevard, Murfreesboro

The 4-H 4K run/walk will take place on Saturday, April 8 at 8:30 A.M. Serving as a fundraiser for the Rutherford County 4-H Endowment Fund, the unique race features a combination road and cross-country course and will serve as the kick-off for the Adventures in Ag Day planned for the Rutherford County Extension office. The race is sponsored by fce Clubs of Rutherford County and Revolution Health Center.

“We are excited to offer local runners and our 4-H community an opportunity to enjoy one of the most unique courses in the Middle Tennessee area, “said Raquel Victor, Extension Agent II and race director. “With our combination road and cross-country course, participants will take part in a race like none other in the mid-state.”

Victor explained that the 4-H 4K course will weave through the vineyards and orchards at the extension office before passing the pond and horse arena.

“We invite all the people of Middle Tennessee to join in this fun event,” Victor said. “Part of the 4-H pledge is to commit your health to better living for your community. The 4-H 4K is an excellent way for our 4-H members to do just that.”

After the race, the public can enjoy the events associated with the Adventures in Ag Day. The day will feature interactive exhibits showcasing local providers as well as demonstrations of agricultural tools and techniques.

Runners can register on-line or by mail. Online registration is available at www.active.com and race forms can also be found at the Rutherford County Extension office or at www.Rutherford.Tennessee.edu.
