2016 Summer Camp Listing: Traditional Camps

What an amazing array of activities our Rutherford County community offers to our children with enrichment camps of all kinds! Summer doesn’t have to be a time to regress, but instead can be a time to inspire, unplug and recharge, and illuminate the possibilities for their futures. The following camps are offered within Rutherford County for all ages and interests. But do plan ahead, many registrations start soon and classes will fill up. Take advantage of these amazing opportunities!

BILL RICE RANCH SUMMER CAMPS
Hear dynamic youth speakers, compete in sports like basketball, volleyball, softball and flag football as well as in music with an evangelistic music competition, grow and strengthen youth groups in a revival preaching atmosphere. Weekly from June 12-July 29. Overnight Youth Camp Ages 12-19 Weekly $275. Overnight Junior Camp Ages 8-12 Weekly $255. Day camp also available June 20-24 for ages 7-11.

BOYS TO MEN CAMP FOR MURFREESBORO CITY SCHOOLS
The camp will offer hands-on learning opportunities as well as expose participants to activities related to life skills, sports and leisure, positive peer relationships and career choices. Campsite – Reeves-Rogers Elementary School. Ages: Rising 5th and 6th graders. June 6-10. 8am – 2pm. Limit 25 students.

BOYS & GIRLS CLUB SUMMER “SURVIVOR” PROGRAM
Members will enjoy a wide variety of fieldtrips throughout the summer while participating in programs that focus on academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles. M-F May 31 – July 29. 6am – 6pm. $75/week, financial assistance is available. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, skating once a week and swimming once a week are included.

Girls Empowered & Motivated for Success is being offered to inspire, nurture, and expose girls to enrichment activities that build self-esteem, character, and leadership. LAVERGNE YOUTH INCORPORATED OVERNIGHT SUMMER CAMP
Summer camp at Y.I. is spent swimming, horseback riding, climbing, canoeing, creating, hanging out, daily four-square, listening to others, listening to frogs and crickets, rain on a metal roof, camp songs, campfires and more. Camp Y.I. is situated on 175 acres on a peninsula of Percy Priest Lake in Rutherford County. We are nearest Fate Sanders boat dock. One week camps June 5-11, June 12-18, July 10-16, July 17-23, July 24-30 $415 (add $40 for horseback riding). Two week session June 19-July 2 $735 (add $80 for horseback riding).

LA VERGNE YOUTH INCORPORATED DAY CAMP

MIDDLE TENNESSEE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL SUMMER CAMP
Daily Bible activities, hands on learning, arts and crafts, community service, weekly field trips, special visitors and so much more. MTCS Summer camp is open to all children ages 3 to 6th grade. May 31 – June 29. 7am – 5:30pm. $40/full day includes lunch and two snacks. $25/half day til 11:30. $75 application fee if not MTCS student. $100 activity fee covers all field trips.

Every two weeks a new Discovery Adventure will explore a divergent focus. Campers will be challenged to think outside the box as they use critical and creative skills to solve problems and make visible new possibilities. Ages 2-5. June 1-August 7. 8am -4pm.

WEBB SCHOOL DAY CAMP
Learn about the science of rocketry and use art materials to create your own personal rocket. Study calculator science – explore the strange and wonderful insides of older calculators. Outdoor adventures includes high and low ropes, zip-lining, rock-climbing and perhaps rappelling, canoeing and more. Learn to throw on the pottery wheel. Program Sphero Robots. Enjoy relaxed engineering experiences with LEGO Robotics – both beginning and advanced levels. Rising 4th – 8th graders. $275/week. June 6-10, June 13-17, June 20-24. 9am -3pm. Bus service available.
